Project to Develop the First Model “Community Security Passport” Launched

The implementation of the project “A Community Safe for Everyone: Monitoring and Comprehensive Assessment of Security Factors as a Basis for Strategic Recovery” has begun in the Orzhytsia Settlement Territorial Community.

As part of the project, the inaugural meeting of the Working Group has already taken place. The Working Group brings together representatives of local self-government, law enforcement agencies, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, civil society, business and other sectors whose activities are linked to the development and security of the community.

Olena SUKMANOVA, President of the Safe Ukraine 2030 Foundation, noted: “Our goal is the systematic development of security based on public-private-civil society partnership.”

The main outcome of this joint work will be the development and testing of a modern methodology for assessing the community’s security environment, as well as the creation of a model “Community Security Passport” - a comprehensive instrument that will make it possible to systematically assess the security situation, identify existing risks, resources and priorities for the community’s further development and recovery.

The Orzhytsia Settlement Council, together with civil society representatives and the Working Group, will work on analysing the community’s security challenges, developing a Methodology for Assessing the Security of a Territorial Community, and preparing the model “Community Security Passport”.

Ahead lies joint expert work, research into the security environment, active engagement of residents, and the development of practical solutions that will contribute to building a safe and comfortable community for everyone.

Olena SYDORENKO, Head of the Orzhytsia Settlement Community, expressed the hope that the Community Security Passport would become a gateway to European recovery funding and international partnerships: “We are not afraid. We are a little anxious, but at the same time we believe and hope that we will not disappoint.”
