Safe Ukraine 2030 Foundation took part in the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, held on 25–26 June 2026 in Gdańsk. The conference served as one of the key international platforms for discussing Ukraine’s recovery, mobilising partnerships, attracting investment, and identifying practical solutions for communities, businesses, and public institutions.
For Safe Ukraine 2030 Foundation, participation in URC2026 was an opportunity to present our vision of Ukraine’s recovery as a process that must go beyond the reconstruction of infrastructure. Recovery must also be grounded in the rule of law, transparency, accountability, institutional resilience, security, and public trust.
During the conference, the Foundation held a number of meetings and discussions with international partners, representatives of organisations, expert communities, businesses, and civil society on possible areas of cooperation in support of Ukraine’s recovery.
Key topics discussed included:
legal and governance frameworks for recovery;
transparency, integrity, and accountability in reconstruction projects;
support for municipalities in preparing and implementing recovery projects;
engagement of businesses and investors in responsible recovery;
risk management in reconstruction projects;
cyber resilience of public authorities, communities, and businesses;
countering disinformation and protecting trust in recovery processes;
rule of law, anti-corruption reforms, and Ukraine’s European integration.
The Foundation places particular emphasis on safe recovery at the local level. Ukrainian communities need practical tools that help them prepare high-quality projects, assess legal and governance risks, engage with donors and investors, involve residents, and ensure transparent communication.
In the current environment, secure recovery also means strengthening cybersecurity, information resilience, and the ability to counter disinformation. Cyberattacks, manipulation, declining trust in institutions, and malign information influence can directly affect the capacity of communities to implement recovery projects, deliver services, attract funding, and maintain the trust of citizens and partners.
Safe Ukraine 2030 Foundation is open to cooperation with international organisations, municipalities, business associations, expert communities, and civil society in the following areas:
developing and disseminating practical tools for communities and recovery stakeholders;
organising expert discussions, trainings, and consultations on legal and governance aspects of recovery;
supporting investment-readiness and risk management;
strengthening transparency, accountability, and integrity in reconstruction projects;
integrating cyber resilience and counter-disinformation components into recovery processes;
facilitating exchange of experience between Ukrainian and international partners on resilience, security, and good governance.
URC2026 once again confirmed that Ukraine’s recovery can only succeed through partnership - between the state, local communities, businesses, civil society, and international partners.
Safe Ukraine 2030 Foundation will continue working to ensure that Ukraine’s recovery is secure, transparent, resilient, and capable of strengthening public trust, institutions, and Ukraine’s European future.
